John Randolph Lane Society The Lane Society Sutlery Clothing & Gifts 26th North Carolina Battle Flag Image An image of one flag captured from the 26th during their tour of duty, possibly the banner lost at Hatcher's Run, Va. The unpreserved relic is now housed at the North Carolina Museum of History. Price: $10 Col. John Randolph Lane Image The only known image of Col. John Randolph Lane without some kind of head cover, this is a copy of an image made while Lane was still colonel of the 26th Regiment, North Carolina Troops. Price: $6 "Colors of the Gray" Poster Created by the Museum of the Confederacy, "Colors of the Gray" includes a sampling of the many flags carried by Confederate troops during the "Late Unpleasantness." Price: $10 "Three Colonels" Image A composite portrait produced after the war, the "Three Colonels" features three colonels of the 26th North Carolina: Zeb B. Vance, who was elected governor of North Carolina while serving the regiment; Henry K. Burgwyn, his successor who was killed at Gettysburg; and John Randolph Lane, the final and longest serving colonel in the unit. Price: $15 "Victory or Death" Battle Flag Pin Pewter pin, approximately 7/16-inch square, is a reproduction of a period pin found on the Cold Harbor Battlefield, in an area reportedly manned by North Carolina troops.
